GETTING THERE

Martha's Vineyard, MA

For the uninitiated, getting to Martha's Vineyard can be challenging.  It is part of what makes it a special destination a world away.  Some travel tips are below.  Please contact Barrie, Danny, or either of their wonderful mothers if you need special assistance making your plans.  We all have an opinion on the best way to arrive, and we're each right in our own way.

ONE: BY LAND

Being an island, you obviously can't get there over land.  But, you can get close.  Connections to ferry service can be made up and down the New England coastline.  More info on the next page.  If it seems out of order, blame Paul Revere.

Peter Pan Bus Line > runs service from Boston’s South Station and Logan Airport, New York City’s Port Authority, and Providence, Rhode Island, directly to the Steamship Authority Ferry port in Woods Hole, MA.

Alternatively, Amtrak > runs the Northeastern corridor stopping in Providence, RI with easy connections to Quonset, RI ferries.
